Central Pharmacy

                    There was a brief training about the

1)    Inventory Control consisting of following modules
                 a) Requisition Preparation
                 b) Stock Management
3)    Procurement and Purchase Methods
                 a) Open Tender
                 b) Limited tender
                 c)  Single Quotation
                 d)  Local purchase
4)    Receiving of Medicines from suppliers including:
               a) Order verification
               b) Checking Invoice and Purchase Order
               c) If the delivery of Order is late (6 weeks for Tablets and
      80 for Ampoules) then the company is charged a penalty of 2%.
 5)    Procedures to Supply medicines to the wards
           a) Medicine is supplied on the Weekly basis to the Satellite Pharmacies to the Wards.
          b) Firstly the Indent Book is written by the Staff nurse then sent to the pharmacist who sends this to the store keeper after checking it and then store keeper issues medicines after keeping necessary records. 
6)    Storage of Medicines
       There are two stores in central pharmacy
a)      Issue Store contains one month supply of medicines.
b)      Receiving Store contains the bulk purchase. Every received Lot has a bin card containing necessary information.
