Objective

                        To develop a type of software which contain all the information about all the medicines available in the stock which includes its ingredients, manufacturers, cost, dosage, side effect, adverse effect, mechanism of action drug-drug interaction and its contraindications.

Current system

Currently lot of time is consumed in providing these information to a customer.

Pharmacists working in the store give information orally or in written from to the customer

Assistant pharmacist hand over the prescription to the customer.

Cashier at the counter make the detail list of cost of medicine and receive the cash with thanks.

Disadvantages of current system

1.                  Lot of tie is consumed in dealing with a single customer.

2.                  Large number of staff is required to run the pharmacy efficiently.

3.                  Cost is high due to large number of staff.

4.                  Dealing with emergency patient is sometime difficult.

5.                  Some customer turn back after seeing rush in the pharmacy.

6.                  Pharmacist get tired and exhausted after dealing with only few customer because he has to do every work manually.

Advantages of current system

1.                  ­Tie per customer is decreased.

2.                  Cost is low due to loess number of worker required.

3.                  Emergency patient can be deal easily and early.

4.                  Number of customer will increase due to smooth flow of information in less time.

5.                  Burden on pharmacist will decrease because everything is available on the software and he can easily give the written information to the customer.
